Funding Environmental Restoration

>> Protecting areas of threatened rainforest from deforestation, preserving natural habitats and biodiversity: our partners target work with projects that store and sequester vast quantities of carbon to help in the fight against climate change.

>> Funding community-driven ecosystem regeneration initiatives: Social & environmental regeneration through tree planting, sustainable farming, forestry protection and local governance in parts of the world most at risk from climate change.

>> Working with Verified Carbon Standard projects to offset carbon : UK Government approved Woodland Carbon Code for projects in the UK, Verified Carbon Standard, REDD+ or Gold Standard for projects worldwide.

>> Enabling the development of tools, resources, and campaigns to help grow the onboard:earth community and build momentum for change: supporting our aims to move low-carbon travel into the heart of live events culture and unite events in environmental restoration.

>> All members are supported to communicate a strong story about their positive actions and the impacts of donations.

How Funding Environmental Restoration with Trees+ Works

onboard.earth helps you calculate the tonnes of CO2e emitted using our tools. You can choose to fund environmental restoration with Trees+ based on £25 per tonne of CO2e.

The £25 is split into 3 investments with our established partners, and an administration cost as follows:

Project partners are reviewed annually, and tailored solutions are available. The cost per tonne of CO2 may vary from year to year depending on the availability of projects. See a full list of our Trees+ project partners.
