The Production Services Association (PSA) and onboard:earth are pleased to announced a new partnership, aimed at helping the UK live events supply chain reduce the environmental impact of travel, often the single largest contributor to an event’s overall carbon footprint.
The partnership will give PSA members access to practical tools, resources, and guidance to reduce travel emissions and streamline carbon data collection across productions. Members will also be able to confidently offset unavoidable travel impacts through onboard:earth’s Trees+ programme, which restores threatened ecosystems, preserves biodiversity, and upholds climate justice by supporting communities on the frontline of climate breakdown.
Since 2015, onboard:earth has worked with the live events industry to understand, reduce, and offset the environmental impacts of travel through improved data gathering, behaviour change initiatives, and verified carbon offsetting. To date, its members have collectively offset 18,314 tonnes of CO2 through verified, community-led projects around the world, and raised over £860,000 for environmental restoration. In 2026, onboard:earth has committed to supporting its members in reaching £1 million raised for nature restoration projects in the UK and beyond.
PSA members can access the new PSA x onboard:earth Sustainable Travel Resources page, which includes a guide to sustainable travel for events, tools for collecting better travel data, a carbon calculator, and webinar resources with further webinars hosted by PSA planned for September 2026.
