Body & Soul arose from a trip to Burning Man, which gave birth to an extensive wellbeing area at the Big Chill. Now a standalone festival run by an all-female senior management team, Body & Soul has been awarded ‘Best Small Festival 2011, ‘Best New Festival’ and the ‘Social Responsibility’ in the Irish Festival Awards, as well being the first Irish festival to be given a highly commended award in the ‘Greener Festivals Awards’ in 2018 due to their achievements in sustainability.
