Digitwell Solutions have provided incredible support to onboard.earth’s work by designing and developing the onboard.earth Travel Carbon Calculator app – free to download in app stores, download it and see how Digitwell brought onboard.earth’s work to the world of apps.
The app is free to download and allows users to:
- Measure travel journeys: If you know the numbers of miles, postcodes and your vehicle type you can work out the carbon emissions associated with your journey.
- Log your travel: Use the app as way to store your travel and download in a .csv file if you need it offline. You can reference it by client, tour or job, which means you can track your travel and share with clients if need be too.
- Model low carbon travel routes: because you can find out the travel impacts of different routes you can use the app to help decide which journey will be the lowest carbon option.
- Fund environmental restoration: As a last step, the app gives you the option to fund environmental restoration projects through onboard.earth’s two programmes:
We have added the option to fund environmental restoration in regular payments with a subscriptions feature. This means that, if you have a regular journey you can set up a payment to address this impact through your chosen restoration project.
