Energy Revolution was onboard.earth’s first environmental restoration programme programme, launched in 2015. As of 2024, with the support of our 160+ members, we have supported 14 brilliant projects. Through Energy Revolution the price per tonne of CO2 is £50.
We support all of our members with resources to approach travel more sustainably, and with tools to measure their emissions. We then provide options to address unavoidable event-related travel emissions but funding our environmental programmes. If you choose to fund Energy Revolution 100% of donations go to partner projects that generate clean renewable energy.
Our Energy Revolution projects are community-led, community-benefit clean renewable energy initiatives across the UK that help reduce reliance on fossil fuels, benefit neighbourhoods and empower communities to take control of their energy consumption with financial gains. We prioritise community-scale projects which include community engagement, training opportunities for young people and clean energy education in local schools. See a full list of our partners.
Governance & Reporting
- We are a UK registered charity with exceptional governance standards
- A strong, clear and transparent methodology and rationale for everything we do
- In-depth due diligence in place for all partners through our Investment Committee with advice from external sustainability and carbon market consultants and climate investment experts, available to clients.
- Carbon offsetting will be reported in accordance to the UK Government Woodland Carbon Code for UK projects and through Verified Carbon Standard, Gold Standard or REDD+ for global projects.
- All projects will be required to report on the activity/ impact of donations which we share with our members to help celebrate and amplify positive action.
