Team Love

Since 2022, Team Love have worked with onboard:earth to acknowledge the CO2e emissions from their audience shuttle buses to and from their inner city Bristol festivals: Love Saves the Day and FORWARDS (both capacity, 30,000) by funding tree planting, protecting and restoring threatened habitats, and supporting communities at the brunt of climate changes.

In 2023, Team Love took part in research on Engaging Live Music Audiences and Transport led by Adam Corner & Briony Latter with the goal to increase their public shuttle usage each year. In 2024 they saw a 40% increase in bookings for LSTD & 57% for FORWARDS compared to 2023!

For the first time in 2024 Team love calculated and offset unavoidable travel emissions from all of their stakeholders, including crew, artists and contractors for Love Saves the Day, FORWARDS and Waterworks. In total, they offset 39 tonnes of CO2e, planted 180 trees and protected 54 acres of threatened rainforest.

Key transport initiatives in place at their UK events include:

  • Accessible shuttle available for audiences, and free for our crew
  • Electric scooter and bike park at public entrance
  • Promote low-carbon travel by sharing public transport services and routes on our socials, website and email comms
  • Use of electric and hybrid plant machinery, tower lights and site vehicles
  • Crew, contractor and trader travel details captured via deal memo
  • Artist travel data section added on advancing form
  • Partnering with onboard:earth to measure travel CO2e and fund offsetting and environmental restoration.
